How can I know for sure that I am on my way to Heaven?

The Bible Gods own word tells us that we can know for sure that we are on our way to heaven by a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Bible tells us in 1 John 5:13 “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. “

The first thing I want you to know is that God loves you, the Bible tells us in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. “

You may not feel his love in your life right now, maybe things are going all wrong in your life everything is amiss and you feel so lost and unloved but I assure you that God loves you, that he wants to have a personal relationship with you and longs to be the very center of your life but there is a problem that separates us all from God, SIN.

The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

What is Sin you ask, the Bible tells us in 1 John 3:4 “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. “

What is the law, the bible gives us in Exodus 20: 1 -17 the 10 comandments, think of these comandments as a mirror for us to look into and to see ouf sinful state.

#1 – Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

#2 – Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:

#3 – Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

#4 – Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

5 – Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

#6 – Thou shalt not kill.

#7-Thou shalt not commit adultery.

#8 – Thou shalt not steal.

#9 – Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

#10 – Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that [is] thy neighbour’s.

Take a close look into this mirror and consider how you have offended the one and only true living God, if you truly look into the Law of God you will see that you have fallen short of the glory of God. You must understand that there is a price to be paid for your sin and that price is death & hell. The bible tells us in Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin [is] death;” it also tells us in Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” You have a sin debt that you can not pay and this is where God steps in and pays your fine for you, in Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Jesus Christ (God manifested in the flesh) left his throne in heaven, came down to earth was born of a virgin and lived a perfect spotless life, never once sinning in thought, word or action and willingly went to the cross for you and for me, for whosoever would call upon his name and what you need to do in order to be saved is to repent of your sins, call upon his name and ask him to save you from your sins. In 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 the Gospel is clearly stated “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: “

You need to repent, believe in the Gospel and place your faith in Christs finished work on the cross, when he said it was finished he meant exactly that and no amount of work on your part can earn you your salvation. THe bible tells us in Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Repentance is that voluntary change in the mind of the sinner in which he turns from his sin.

Belief is that voluntary change in the mind of the sinner in which he turns to Christ and trust him as his Lord and Saviour.

Romans 10:9 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Don’t wait another minute to settle your salvation, your eyes have been lead to these words for a reason God is calling out to you don’t turn away from him come home today, your heavenly Father is waiting with open arms to receive you.
