31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jeremiah 31:31-34 (KJV)
31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
When Jesus Christ left his throne in heaven and came down to earth and took on flesh, he became a man and while he was yet all man he still was all God at the same time. He lived a perfect and spotless life with no sin in him at all. He never sinned no not once and then he willing went to the cross of Calvary where he suffered, bled and died for the sins of the entire world. He shed his holy, perfect sinless blood for you and for me, for whosoever shall call upon his name. Then before he took his last breath he said “It is finished” and gave up the ghost, he died that day on the cross for our sins and by doing so he paid our sin debt in full. The wrath of God was satisfied by him that day and the new covenant that God used Jeremiah to proclaim hundreds of years before was now in effect. They took my Jesus away that day and laid him in a tomb but three days later he rose again and now he lives forever and grants us access to the throne of grace whereby we may be healed from our sin and our shame. This is the new covenant and all thanks be to Jesus Christ the author and finisher of our salvation! He is the one and only way to heaven.
Do you know for sure you are on your way to heaven?
What will you do with Jesus?
It takes more than just knowing all these things to be true, you have to believe in him. It’s like the difference from looking at a chair and knowing that it will hold you up when you sit in it to actually sitting in that chair and experiencing it do so.
Have you put on the Lord Jesus Christ or do you just know about him?
It’s a hard question but believe me when you really do believe you will know it and your life will show it. You will become a new creature, you will be born again and all things will be new!
Praise God Jesus save! Amen!
